H2ICE

H2ICE is a collaborative fashion project by jewellery designer Minou Lejeune & fashion designer Dusty Thomas. Thomas’ label Bluedenîmes proved to be the perfect partner for Lejeune’s eccentric accessoires. Inspiration for H2ICE was found in the endlessly cold surroundings of Antartica. Thomas: “Antarctica is ruled by lots of ice cold winds, the collection H2ICE intends to be one of these icy winds.” The editorial was shot by fashion photographer Tyson Ernste.

Around COS

Around COS is an intriguing fashion video project from artist duo Lernert & Sander. The Dutch guys are multi-talented artists, filmmakers and installation builders. Their concepts can be recognized by a humoristic or approach. For COS, they presented the AW 15/16 collection in a playful way without losing the clean attitude that defines the brand.

Cosmic Latte

Flybird proudly presents the Cosmic Latte collection. For Cosmic Latte Flybird’s very own Frankie Boateng has inspired himself with the colors of the universe. Hence the name Cosmic Latte, the color determined by astronomers as the average color of the universe.

All bags are designed and handmade by Frankie Boateng in the Amsterdam atelier. For this collection Frankie used a selection high quality tanned Italian leather and treated waterproof canvas.

Na Di Studio

Luxury materials and textiles, tailoring inspired silhouettes and a combination of embroidery and print is what describes Na Di Studio. Winner of the PREMIUM Young Designer award for her AW14 collection, this Central Saint Martin graduate has certainly caught the attention of the fashion world since establishing her brand in London a couple of years ago. Her approach to fashion is dead serious, while the collection looks slightly humouristic.

Ill Lookbook AW 2014

Ill is a streetwear shop based in Utrecht, the Netherlands focussed on high-quality materials. They strive for a nice balance of accessibility, diversity and a certain sense of exclusivity. The photos were taken in TivoliVredenburg, a new concert hall in Utrecht. The modern white and grey tints work as a fine background for the quality clothing.

Olaf Hussein 14/15

Amsterdam’s young fashion designer Olaf Hussein is pushing forward fast. His first collection was picked up by a wide audience. For the 14/15 collection, he shows a coherence and maturity that sets a new standard. Hussein drew inspiration from the stylish young men of the 50’s. From their clean aesthetics to their razor sharp tailoring, traces of the mods can be found throughout the entire line.

Aimé Leon Dore Fall ’14

The end of the summer is hard to dress for. It’s still warm, but can get chilly, leaving you in this weird temperature limbo. To help get you through this time, designers create pre-fall collections that will carry you straight to the cooler temps. Aimé Leon Dore did this in a minimalistic and sophisticated way. The combination of 4 basic colours works in every outfit.

Cos x nendo

Japanese design studio nendo found a one time partner in Cos, the Swedish minimal fashion brand. For an installation in Milan, they brought their best assets. The smartly ordered Cos shirts are crisp, classic white until they fall inside the steel cube frames, at which point they take on colour as thought the space itself has dyed them. This simple yet effective framing strengthens viewers’ awareness of the space.

Agi & Sam AW14

After the all-over print madness, fashion duo Agi & Sam took a more subtle road. The young and playful London brand doesn’t want to be taken too seriously. Yet they positively surprise with quite a serious collection. For AW14 we see black and white in classy silhouettes. Classic items like coats and jackets are oversized but never look bulky.

Blue Cone Colony

The Blue Cone Colony is a joint venture between Uniforms for the Dedicated and Tree Hotel, two creative forces sharing the vision of a sustainable direction of both design and work process. For similar reasons Tree Hotel co-exists with the constant forests of the north, the clothing line of S/S 12 combines natural and handpicked fabrics made to grow more beautiful with time and wear.
